Note:
All this week at DGUSA.tv we will preview each first round match in
the tournament to crown the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion on
November 28th in Philadelphia at The Arena. This is the third of four
installments. Please leave your comments on this match at the end of
this article.
The first two Dragon Gate USA events have proved that the new generation
of talent is here and ready to shine in the spotlight. DGUSA has assembled
six men that have made an impact over these two events for the "Generation
New" six-way. One of these athletes will advance to the four-way
elimination match main event and have a chance at becoming the first
Open The Freedom Gate Champion.
Jigsaw, Gran Akuma, Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson, Johnny Gargano and Lince
Dorado have all shed the label of "tomorrow's star" in DGUSA.
Now one of them can become champion and skyrocketed their career. They
have each earned this opportunity. Now they are all looking to build
off their momentum and make history. Who will make the most of this
career-making chance?
Why Jigsaw will win: He won the fall in the eight man CHIKARA tag on
the first show, so he knows how to win big multi-men matches. He has
emerged as a veteran in the CHIKARA locker room and his style meshes
well with anyone on the DGUSA roster.
Why Gran Akuma will win: He'll do whatever he takes. He has gained attention
by teaming with YAMATO to form an ass-kicking duo. Akuma is poised to
breakout from the pack.
Why Matt Jackson will win: As half of The Young Bucks, Matt made it
clear on the very first show that he and his brother Nick are today's
stars. They backed up their words by defeating Dragon Gate veterans
CIMA & Susumu Yokosuka. If they can beat those two, they can beat
anyone.
Why Nick Jackson will win: Just look above at brother Matt. The only
question is what will happen if these brothers have to fight each other?
Only one can advance.
Why Johnny Gargano will win: This FRAY! winner has proven to be crafty
in both FRAY!'s and knows how to take advantage of the multi-man format.
He is very sneaky, but extremely skilled and could easily elevate his
career with a win here.
Why Lince Dorado will win: He won the first ever FRAY! and his high-flying
style fits perfectly with DGUSA. While he can be considered the biggest
long shot to win it all, he could surprise some people.
Six competitors ready to take their spot on top of the independent wrestling
world will converge in this match. They all bring an exciting style
to what promises to be an action-paced bout. Each of them wants nothing
more in life than to be the first DGUSA Champion. Can you pick a winner
in this one? Leave us a comment below and give us your thoughts.
