Shingo is known for his power, high-impact offense and ability to absorb punishment. Now he opens up and we find out about the man behind the muscle.
Shingo wanted to be a wrestler from a young age. It was always his dream and his ambition. He grew up watching the hard-hitting, athletic style of wrestling and knew it was the only thing he wanted to do. Wrestlers who showed the most heart became role models to him. Before he started his training, Shingo prepared himself by going into bodybuilding, where he gained many accolades. This gave him his strength, which is a major weapon in his arsenal today. Shingo also studied Judo, which helped him develop some of his suplexes and more dangerous moves.
"I love wrestling," Shingo said. "I knew it could lead me to realize my dreams."
Shingo has a never-say-die attitude. He keeps his mind focused on what needs to be done and will never give up his quest to be the best. These are qualities of "Japanese Bushido," which is very important to Shingo.
"I don't want to just wrestle in Japan," Shingo said. "I want to wrestle worldwide including the United States and Canada. I would like to show how great "Japanese BUSHIDO" is to the world through my wrestling."
While Shingo is one of the most intense competitors you'll find inside the ring, outside of the squared circle he likes to take it easy. This is his time to mentally prepare himself for training and his next battle. Shingo describes himself as "easy going" and likes to move at "my own pace" when he's not in fight mode.
Shingo is a man of discipline and fighting spirit. He has joined forces with Open The Dream Gate Champion YAMATO, Jon Moxley and Gran Akuma as Kamikaze USA. This makes Shingo one of the most dangerous men in wrestling. Now he is ready to show Canada why when he teams with YAMATO to take on Open The Freedom Gate Champion BxB Hulk & sensational high-flyer PAC on May 7th in Windsor and then Dragon Gate veterans CIMA & Dragon Kid on May 8th in Toronto. Shingo is focused.
"I want to build up DGUSA with American fans together!" Shingo stated. "JAPAN!!" |
